Craig Rabnott

I began playing in 1996, as a student of many concert bands in primary school. I carried this with me through high school, where I developed a taste for big band music in Stage Band. During this time I began study with Grant Collins, which still continues to this day, as I strive to adapt his approach into my own playing and compositions. Travelling to Lismore in 2005, I began a Bachelor Of Music at Southern Cross University, where I learned from Dave Sanders, a student of the Australian legend, David Jones. I have studied the approach of many leading drummers, such as Virgil Donati, Pete Lockett,Pete Drummond, Gregg Bissonette, Aaron Spears, Chris Coleman, Dave Elitch, Thomas Lang. I previously taught at "Learn Music", Thornlands, and at "Sono Music" in Indooroopilly. I also spend my time composing, recording, and have performed with a variety of local community orchestras around Brisbane, between session work.
