Tamborine Mountain Orchestra

"The Tamborine Mountain Orchestra has set out on a programme of re-vitalization including: an entirely new repertoire and a greater variety of musical activities. The initiatives include making the orchestra available for a wider range of public performances and support for community functions. The orchestra is a not-for-profit organization and is concerned only with making sufficient money to cover its relatively modest running costs and music library development. A fee for our playing is not always required and any payment that is sought would be determined, in part, by the nature of the activity being supported. We can be available to conduct performances such as, inter alia: music for opening, dedication, commemorative and celebratory ceremonies. Other performances might include: twilight concerts; concerts to support such community initiatives as the North Tamborine Main Street development committee activities; theatre performances; regular concerts conducted in places other than Tamborine Mountain – Beaudesert, Boonah, etc.; dinner concerts; bush dances; balls, and the like.
