27 & 28 MAY 2017
2017 STUDIOS MAP location #24
Colleen spent almost 30 years as a ceramicist and was renowned for her salt-glazed ceramics sold at the Neergabby Pottery and Gallery on her property at West Gingin, W.A. In 2003 she changed mediums and relocated to Queensland, setting up her painting studio in the historic Old National Bank of Queensland building in Harrisville.
Colleen is driven to record the fleeting light and beauty of the Scenic Rim. She describes herself as a realistic impressionist painter, and paints daily plein-air and in her studio. So successful was the collaborative workshop last year, visitors will again have the opportunity to work on a large set-up still life with Colleen, with one participant in the draw to take it home. Paints and brushes will be supplied.
