Catherine Anderson’s work is classical and realistic. Her pieces range from nudes and animals to commissioned pieces celebrating human endeavour and the environment. She crafts original works and hand-finishes each piece. Inside her studio, visitors are able to see work in all stages of production, getting an insight into what is involved in creating a bronze sculpture from start to finish. She has chosen to live in Boonah because she likes the balance of a rural lifestyle and a vibrant arts community.
‘My aim is to capture the essence of a natural form, and I am most often inspired by subjects that combine grace and elegance with strength and resilience.’
